Capstone Projects Showcase
Join us for an exciting day of innovation and discovery at the DLT Science Foundation (DSF) Capstone Project Showcase at the University College London (UCL). The event gathers some of UCL’s brightest students in emerging technologies and finance. They will be presenting their outstanding capstone projects developed in collaboration with the DLT Science Foundation and other private companies. This showcase is an excellent opportunity to explore the latest advancements and research in distributed ledger technology (DLT) and its applications.
Capstone Projects:
The projects are presented by postgraduate students from the MSc Computational Finance, MSc Financial Risk Management, MSc Financial Technology, and MSc Emerging Digital Technologies programmes at UCL.

- Ao Yang: Exploring blockchain discussions on social media using NLP and topic modelling.
- Maximilian Schmidt: Analysis of the governance of blockchain protocols.
- Mengtong Yuan: Analysis of evolution of topics, their rankings, and trends across social media channels.
- Zijing Chen: Pump-and-dump scheme detection using market features.
- Qianqian Peng: Extract social media sentiment for price forecasting and credibility analysis.
- Shengyi Jin: ESG metrics for large language models.
- Tingshuo Zhang: Measuring the entropy of topics among social media channels that relate to blockchains.
