International Summer School on Blockchain

From July 2nd to July 21st, 2023, this program, called "Deep Dive into Blockchain", attracted a group of 55 people keen to learn about blockchain technology. The attendees, including students and professionals from various fields, were immersed in a detailed study covering the workings, economic impact, and legal aspects of blockchain.

DSF's contribution to the event was significant, with three of its senior team members leading key parts of the programme. Dr. Jiahua Xu, Head of Science at DSF, guided attendees through the technical aspects of blockchain, blending theory with practical application. Nikhil Vadgama, co-founder and director at DSF, focused on how blockchain is influencing different industries and its wider economic implications. Dr. Carlo Campajola, a Senior Research Fellow at DSF, provided insights into the legal frameworks and regulations important in the world of blockchain and distributed ledger technology.

The course was intensive, requiring participants to dedicate about 7-8 hours daily for lectures, self-study, and project work. The curriculum was strategically divided into three segments: technology, business/economics, and law/regulation. This structure ensured a comprehensive understanding of blockchain from multiple perspectives.

In addition to the educational aspects, the program emphasised collaborative and cross-disciplinary work, encouraging participants to engage with peers from diverse backgrounds and specialties. This approach fostered a dynamic learning environment and broadened the understanding of blockchain applications. The event concluded with a graduation ceremony, marking the end of a highly informative and engaging three-week course. DSF's involvement highlights its commitment to advancing knowledge and education in the field of DLT.
