Position Summary

The Ecosystem Development Manager is responsible for ensuring new and existing web2 and web3 projects and organizations are successfully recruited and onboarded into the foundation. This role is also responsible for establishing partnerships with other foundations or projects that may include supporting instances of our platform or our testnet for the creation of pilot and POC programs. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive and strategic thinker with a strong network in the web2 and/or web3 tech industry, and a passion for open source.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Partnerships and Sponsorships

  • Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with potential new projects, companies and partners to support the foundation’s mission and initiatives.
  • Develop and execute recruitment and onboarding strategies.
  • Develop and maintain a world-class onboarding experience
  • Negotiate and finalize project and company agreements.

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential partners in the open-source and tech communities.
  • Analyze and report on market conditions, competitive landscape, and potential areas for growth.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform business development strategies and decision-making.

Community Engagement and Advocacy

  • Represent the foundation at industry events, conferences, and meetings to build relationships and promote the foundation’s mission.
  • Engage with the open-source community to understand their needs and identify opportunities for collaboration and support.
  • Advocate for the foundation’s mission and values within the broader tech industry and community.

Program Development and Management

  • Collaborate with the program team to identify and develop new initiatives and programs that align with the foundation’s strategic goals.
  • Support the implementation and management of programs, ensuring they meet the needs of the community and funders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs and initiatives, providing feedback for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of web3 and.or blockchain experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, fundraising, or a related role in the tech or non-profit sectors.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership and sponsorship development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals and presentations.

  • High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to the foundation’s mission.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
