Nikhil Vadgama Presents at TechEx!
As such, Nikhil dove right into the cornerstone of blockchain, DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology), cryptocurrency, and web3.0 rising topics: decentralised governance. Presenting “Blockchain Governance: An Introduction and Update”, Nikhil explored fundamental concepts of what decentralised entities in the modern day need to consider and how they function, an area of research that requires a critical evaluation of all ecosystem stakeholders.
From his integral assessment on blockchain networks and DAOs (Decentralised Autonomous Organisations), attendees were able to learn more about the relationships between validating nodes, voting mechanisms, and on-chain reward structures. Furthermore, they were able to understand the dangers in certain flaws that have historically been exploited in these novel systems, as well as the parallel comparison with decision-making procedures exhibited in traditional corporate governance.
Nikhil also participated in a panel discussion called “Blockchain Unchained: Driving Enterprise Growth Through Innovation” to review the trends in blockchain utility and implementing better security features for enterprise applications. It also featured:
- Tomaz Sedej (Ecosystem Manager at Hyperledger Foundation)
- Joel Curado (Managing Director of Business Development at Casper Labs)
- Tayfun Karabagli (Ecosystem Manager at Huawei Cloud)
- Dino Cataldo Dell’accio (Chief Information Officer at UNJSPF)
Parallel panels also discussed the precarious role of Bitcoin mining as global concentration is limited to several routing hubs, as well as merging DLT to the overarching star theme of the conference, Artificial Intelligence. This was supported by a notion that there should be greater clarity of purpose across corresponding emerging technologies, such as: Big Data, IoT (Internet of Things), Unified Communications, Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, Automation, Digital Twin, as well as Edge and Cloud Computing.
